the holidays is off to a bad start.
i'm sitting on my ass most of the time with no job, money and fun.
i hate this feeling. it's been only what....2 days?
if i still can't find a job, can i at least find some fun with no money?

FRIDAY THE GREAT

I think i just had the best black friday ever! Except for a little morning mishap perhaps.
People get breakfast in bed, i have breakfast in lecture (courtesy of jean with love from sembawang!) My tummy was in for a real treat today with famous delicious food and i had the best steak ever which would put all the ridiculously priced fancy tiny steaks i had to shame! Not forgetting those mouth-watering escargots....i am really satisfied and i think my not so modest tummy can't stop from showing off! and we had this little tour around a few parks, shamelessly having some fun at the obstacle stations & catching couples making out in their cars! I swear i saw this middle-aged man topless lying on top of someone in a very open air carpark. my eyes literally popped out...but he's probably too filled with love to notice anyone looking at him, or is it them? HAHAHA!

It felt like it had been a hectic week and i feel like all my energy have been drained. Must be all the alcohol and masses of people at qing's birthday that sucked all life out of me, but i'm glad the party turned out great and the surprise 'salvaged'.

I was a mess that day, walking around like a headless chicken until now i don't know where i went to the bulk of the time. Which got me into a bit of a mess that led to tears with qing's friend offering me tissues. Utterly embarrassed....but reaffirmed the fact that i'm not a big party kinda person. Firstly i'm a social awkward in such events and i can't prioritise well especially when intoxicated. So i think i owe an apology to my hon, van and jean. Hon darling sorry you were left alone most of the time being the most sober yet had no one for company except to help out here and there & thinking where the hell am i, because i have no idea too! Jean, i dunno if it was my bottoms up that made you so drunk and i didnt even know when you had waken up but i hope i had put you in the right hands. Van van, i realised i forgot brandon was there so you had to be alone to self entertain and fend for yourself, and help send jean into her cab alone. I swear that what seemed like hours to you was like minutes to me and before i know it i was gone for like forever leaving all my dearest to themselves.

So you people please please forgive me for all that has been done in my drunken stupor k? I know it happens all the time when i drink but i didnt mean to abandon any of you. You all matter the most to me...i may have not been there when you needed me but i promise i'll be whenever i'm sober. I'll not drink anymore at big parties....maybe! =)

Time to wipe the dust off this ranting space.

This holiday has been far from monotonous, every week brings about surprises good and bad. Exploring new places, rediscovering the old. I can say the company makes a hell lot of a difference. Our lifestyle has also altered slightly with him being posted to different camps ever so often and with his own transport comes heavier responsibility and a bigger hole in our pockets. The price tag on convenience is hefty but i hope we can do it while indulging in our little splurges.

I do feel a little lost, like suddenly there's no constant in my life. It's like everyday is different, there is no routine or a fixed schedule some days can be really exciting while others i could be just wandering around. Even his posting is not fixed so we'll never know where he'll end up the next day, pretty much like playing amazing race. Even the nitty gritty stuffs like not knowing he doesnt eat roasted pork until now suddenly struck me, prompting me to question myself how well do i actually know this guy whose hands i've held for the past 3 1/2 years. Why at 20 did my life become a rollercoaster ride? Maybe the exciting life which i've always wished for has been granted, i wonder how well i'll do with the changes.

Be careful what you wish for, cos you just might get...

CRAZY CRAZY WEEK.
Dinners, function, swissotel, partying, bbq.
My freaking dark eye circles makes me scream when i look at myself in the mirror. Amount of sleep i had for the past few days is pathetic. Too much alcohol for the past few weeks and reaching my limit yesterday almost killed me. Taking a break.............till 13th dec! Qing, aren't you excited? =)

BIG thank you to all who came and brought food, made the effort to dress up!
Especially to JACQUELINE KOH ( sucha sweet darling for buying me cute headgears and preparing all the decorations!) TAN PEIXUAN (coordinating the guests, getting dragged by me to party. haha) TO ALL WHO CAME, despite the unique combination, location etc etc. Thanks for being a part of it and making it possible and for the ultra-cute present! I know i was a really really bad 'host', pardon me but i hope all of you had fun or good food at least. =)

Baby's 21st party on saturday was awesome!
Haven't had so much fun in a really long while.
Pre-party px and i got addicted to Wii and started going crazy spinning some hula hoops! and we managed to start the fire and boy were we proud of ourselves for this virgin success. Couldn't entertain the babes while working it out at the pit, sorry girls...........you know i love you =)

food, sabotaging of bday boy,photos, cake-cutting then it was a mad rush down to dbl 0.
the girls had quite abit to drink at the party already(i suspect they polish the entire bottle of gin & even licked it dry) but we had another 2 bottles of whiskey. It was crazy....almost everyone went mad with all the unbelievable antics. HUGS to my girlfriends and baby for the wonderful day! Pictures in fb, pre-party pics below.

For the first time ever, i went to soak up the halloween spirit.
Nothing much though, besides having Jack Sparrow, angels and mad scientists dancing along to the music and the seriously looongggggg queue!! I can't imagine how it must be like for those prettily dressed folks, perspiring like mad with their costumes on. I think i had too much to drink and embarrassed myself way too much in front of people whom i had met for the very first time.

I feel my life's gonna change, there's never been so much going on. No doubt we're all very realistic people though it sucks to know the truth.

1) Blame the rain for wetting her pants and shoes and making her look like a fool on the train.
2) Get angry with nutty bus drivers that stands up in the midst of a red light talking at the top of his voice in her direction shrieking "You don't mind stand up and let the uncle sit can? This seat is meant for them" when there are more seats further back the bus.

I think i'm pushing my luck a little too far.
I should really really start hitting the books and quit procrastinating! Very unmotivated... i hope i'll wake up by the start of next week if not i'm so dead.

Driving today was really weird. First it was so sunny i could barely keep my eyes open, then it started pouring so heavily i couldn't even see the lane markings! And the instructor, kinda weird today too. After lunch with Px went to check out some stuffs and the assistant manager was really helpful and nice. He helped with check like umpteen times regarding my endless requests and even gave me a sample even though i had offered to pay for it. I can't say the same for his colleague though, giving me the ' because of you we're short-handed now' kinda stare. She didn't even bother to smile at any customers, worked like the world owed her a living. I'm feeling like a bitch, have the urge to drop a feedback. Hurhurhur....

Somehow kenneth took my words seriously and approached a Bangladeshi worker to have pictures taken with him and he totally loves him! Haha...alittle too much fun involving them in our photos (mostly in the background though). Caught a random movie with them after lunch which was a chinese remake of Cellular then Px and i went for dinner at Gluttons Bay which is totally apt for me as i've been a real glutton of late!

Horribly tired but i can't seem to sleep early. Too many late nights and its hard to revert back again.

Past 2 weekends were great. Chocolate's surprise party and amazing Qing driving us all around. She's getting pretty damn good i must say! Thank you babe for sending me home like umpteen times =) Friday was Brekos with the babes which nearly shortened our lives with too much attention in the wrong way. Sat was Brekos again with NP guys followed by walking to Anchorpoint to meet up with Eddie till about 2am then me and Px walked back to my house from there again. It was like a freaking sauna, talked a little and woke up for lunch the next day. Cooked pasta, rosti, baked salmon and portobello mushrooms for dinner! Totally delicious can....if i say so! Hahaha...

I'm loving it.

Everything going on has been seemingly unreal.
how things start falling into place, and somehow my future is unfolding. I don't know how to explain, its just that i'm not used to certainty. trying to morph into a full-grown adult in Sg is harder...i'm still sheltered and there's no way to fly. do think about it alot, whether i should have followed my sisters' footstep and probably i'll have their confidence, eloquent, street-smart traits now. I still want to venture overseas for work when the time is ripe. Explore Europe all over again to relieve the hazy memories, visit Arjun in the States, take in the beauty of Maldives all over again and just run through the globe.

Finally, i seem to have a better perspective. Goodnight world and i'll bring my lovely dreams with me.

HAPPY HAPPY 20th PEIXUAN ! ( my loveliest girl!)

Bistro Gaga birthday celebration for Peixuan and the soon-to-be Jacq.
Food was nothing to rave about, ambience great though, there was barely anyone else besides us. we decided to disgust ourselves and have a good laugh by posing like pornstar/model/retard wannabes. totally unglam considering we were the only kiddos there. Only lament? build escalotors at Mt Sophia! If not god save our legs...

I love being with the girls....
It feels so close to home hanging out with them.
Through the 8 years we've seen each other grow up

from long white socks to folded skirts
tearful friendship wrecking moments
making fun of schoolmates/teachers in unison
teenage crushes and puppy love
refusing to leave school till the sky turns dark

i might not know every single detail of their life,
nor the biggest problem they are facing,
but i know for a fact that no matter what they won't judge.
if anyone decides to let on a fact of their life which they think the rest will shake their heads in disapproval, they'll say their piece of advice and even if it falls on deaf ears, they'll still be there to pick us up.

they were scolding me for my lengthy posts...but i have to write this down even if they're not gonna read it all. it's been on my mind for the longest time...somehow as we grow up, we have more friends and other commitments and slowly we forget to give credit to those we grew up with and who helped us stay grounded when the temptations of adulthood make us stray. they may not be the first i turn to when relationship problems hit, the one i kept in contact with most often while doing my overseas intern, or the first person i'll call to be my bridesmaid when i get married, but they are the ones i know will never leave me and accept my short-comings as strengths. To my silent pillars of support, even if i dont say it, i still love you girls.

flyer operations side screwed up so we missed like the entire fireworks! management tried to pacify everybody with free flow champagne and gave us another round of champagne flight =) booked for the 23rd...hopefully this time we wont miss the fireworks festival. and we saw really ugly singaporeans stuffing themselves silly with champagne, shouting at wait staff just because their strawberries weren't ready. Yesterday was the congregation of ex-Smurfs at Holland V. More than 15 of our batch NTSS students were standing outside the yoghurt place - totally unplanned! Totally freaky considering what happened over dinner earlier. It was nice meeting up with my ex-classmates which most i have not seen for 4 years?! Pictures when i steal them from Janice's blog!

Remember how switzerland was my aim
Everyone and myself were excited about the prospect of living there.
Then...the letter came and i have been accepted.
but in the end...i choose a different route and Marketing's my new choice.
Will be starting on 7th July and i am so damn happy i got advanced standing and will be completing the course in 1.5 years! that is if nothing go wrong and i dont fail any modules.
Best of all? All my dear girls will be with me and hopefully we'll be classmates again.

Almost everyone was dead sure of me choosing Switz and ready to send me off....but sometimes there are just things/people worth sacrificing for =) I'll be the only one in my family who didnt get my degree abroad, sure it feels a little sore but i guess we just have different priorities and living overseas is just not an option for me now.

I'm happy now and i guess that's most important. Will be off to batam for a nice spa getaway...will be back to post pics of my phuket, hongkong and batam trip all at once. love you poeple!

i'm glad how well this year has been for you and how all your 'obstacles' turned out to be blessing in disguise. i feel really really happy for you...bear in mind that no matter how many times we meet in a month or year, we'll always have each other in mind and the girl power stays strong. we all move on but we're moving alongside each other not away. miss the crazy laughters from just now already. and we forgot to take pictures!!! i'll make sure we have a full attendance date in June.

listening to min telling us how life has been good to her recently....i cant help but feel i'm really lucky too. there's a unfailing kind of happiness trailing behind me and really, there's nothing i can lament about at all. i'm glad life for the girls have been good as well and no matter what obstacles they faced, they managed to pick themselves up and continue to walk life's journey. Min's got her NUS admission, Jean's finally off her metal mouth label, Van has found her joy and direction in life and as for Qing, she got her SIA interview and has found strength despite all that has happened. Thank God for all he has given to us...although we have not exactly been good kiddos. I've got all the material things i want and those which money cant buy as well, what more can i ask for? Maybe for a lifetime of this *winks*

back from hongkong!
5 days was quite tight because 2 whole days were spend in Macau and at Lantau Island. I was like a mute there because i couldn't speak much cantonese. i got my wallet!! and a pair of nice leather flats which was paid for by my father in a really rare gesture =) not much shopping done due to time constraint and rainy weather. but the food there is really good! i think i put on some not needed weight too....

next week will be batam! can't wait for the hugeass pool...

procrastinated over blogging for weeks..
finally getting my lazy butt up and start typing.

had a great weekend just hanging around and having drinks till most of us are gone. sunday had lunch at amara hotel with family and dinner was with his family at rong guang. and tequila shots + lime juice is yummmmmmy * smacks lips* ! cant wait for the next drinking session with the bunch again....3 more bottles and counting!

impromtu decision by the parents to go hongkong. will be flying off this sat and be back on wed. looking forward more to june's getaway.......or even longer trips if rmit doesnt get back to me. IMI's letter came but dont think i'll be taking it. big risk considering the fact that rmit's letter seems miles away. never made a more difficult academic decision in my life. hopefully no regrets.

my life revolves round work now and the much appreciated one and a half day weekend break. been seeing lots of customers drive in with Lamborghinis and Ferraris and a handful and mercs and BMWs. are singaporeans getting richer or do the rich favour Panasonic products?

the flight was screwed up, yelled at the stupid agent but the trip was good =)
i think the good food more than made up for everything.
the day trip got all of us really tanned. even my scalp peeled.

the night the pain started i thought i was gonna die. seriously. i prayed since like donkey years ago, started thinking of the things i'm gonna leave behind. in short i freaked out. the pain kept me awake till the x-ray and urine test told me i wasn't dying. bad year for dragons, and the palmist i went to years ago seems damn accurate till date.

the lady here is still slacking her life away. while her mates have all gone to apply for local/overseas universities or started working or at least hunting, she's busy doing nothing besides watching britney's MV over and over again. the only plans i have is:

yesterday was just wonderful...we met szemin's boyfriend for the first time and we loved him. really.the guys were having all the guy's talk while the girls totally zonked out on the alcohol. all the drinking games and jokes made us laughed so loud people downstairs could hear. the things we talked about...i totally could not believe it...especially in the presence of a 'newcomer aka min's loverboy, brandon'. there was no boundaries in their conversation....everything that could be said was said. i guess thats the effect of vodka + rum + beer. oh and i finally saw trannies in full force!

Buffet at Raffles' Bar and Billiard Room was satisfying! Their salads and appetizers was good but main courses a tad disappointing. Exchanged birthday gifts and i got my gift for last year! it's a really pretty french connection top...really loved it. Sounds really long but i was in Maldives back then so we had all of out birthday celebration today. As usual we laughed about everything and nothing...it was great catching up with the girls again. After that headed down to Regent with Cynthia..managed to catch a few of my colleagues from Summer Palace and everything seemed the same as before.

waited for the erratic rain to stop before heading back to city hall for some shopping! it felt good but all the heavy bags and my heels were killing me. why do we always put so much unnecessary pressure on ourselves by spending too much, walking too much...why cant we all be contented with what we have and just lead a laid back life? I guess i can never find that here...and do i really want a laid back life? just what is for me...i have not figured that out yet.

i am so fickle and unsure of everything that it pisses me off. If only i'm more rational and far-sighted to know what i want for my future...i'm still such a kid. when will i grow out of my shell and stop wasting time in life? I hate this turning point in my life....

friday's dinner with the old bunch was fabulous as usual!
old the super juicy gossips and laughter.
they proved to me that 3 months in maldives made my radars shorter. i knew nuts about the ongoings and the news in singapore.

ohhhhh...! i' m going to phuket on 2nd march! it was the fastest trip ever...we discussed and the very next day paid for everything! i'm so excited..i miss the sun, sea and sand...and did i hear deliciously cheap seafood, shopping, spa and nightlife? 1 more freaking month...!

school starts tomorrow and i dread the research paper...but on a brighter note, i'll be graduating in less than a month! =)

my 11th day at Maldives.

The place is beautiful. How can it not be when the seawater is as clear as the pool and its like infinity. you don't see an end to the sea. Work is not very tough and the people are all friendly. The hostel is air conditioned and we have staff gym, canteen etc.

Sounds like all too good right?
but i cant tell you how much i miss home. Sometimes i just feel like dropping everything and take the next flight back. counting down to the end of 3 months every single day.

Having said all that, i did have really fun times here too. The 6 girls have gossip session almost every single day which i really appreciate if not i'll probably not survive until now. on my first off day, i visited the capital, Male which was a good relief from the mundane life here.

One more really exciting thing! President Nathan was here and i took pictures and shook hands with him! He even dined at the restaurant i was working at. My pic was not in the straits times but it was on lianhe zaobao! Sat's paper...please cut it out for me if you guys have =)

I miss everybody back home! I miss macdonalds and it is practically unheard of here! I hope time will pass faster...Miss every single thing Singaporean =(

Flying off tomorrow.

Had a beautiful week with all the lovely people before i leave home for a foreign land. All the people at Summer Palace were remarkable, the managers were great. Paul treated my family to dessert and Lee ALMOST brought me and vic to dine there. Dinner yesterday night with the new town gang was fabulous. I swore i had not laughed like that in the past 2 months or so. Baby surprised me one day by popping by Tanglin Mall and for refusing to tell me, i nearly missed meeting him because i was working overtime. What more can i ask for to bring with me over there with all these beautiful memories?

Friends taking time to send me off tomorrow. The beautiful bracelet from peixuan. My sisters contributing money and time to source for travel insurance for me. All the well-needed hugs. I cant wait to be back even before i'm gone. Everybody here take care and don't forget me! My last post from Singapore for the year.

Exams are finally over. no screams of joy, no overwhelming happiness. just counting down to the days to It fair, bangkok trip, internship at regent and internship at four seasons maldives.

There seems so little time for myself and everybody else. Last semester of school will just be a portfolio submission and that marks the end of poly life. Internship will determine my path after poly. Somehow in between bits of studying i managed to meet the girls for dinner and a random trip up mount faber. Let's see how much time i have to play...

had fun over the weekend. sticking strictly to 5/5&half day work week now! been diligently doing work every weekday and i'm proud of myself =)

cant wait for the next 2 weeks! Project submission's a spoiler but loads of activities lined up! everything's almost settled except destination p&d... and i just got the dates of internship. horribly packed!

maybe he meant beyond the project incident. i told her, whats matters most is you know you have done nothing wrong and the most important is the end product/result. thank you for standing up for me sweets, your assurance meant more to me than anything else because you've been my group mate for so long and more importantly my lovely friend!

i sat down with sze min and qing for awhile, talking about what we were like and our plans for the future. i wonder how much we visualized would actually come true in future. min said various incidents in poly could have changed my character since year 2..i thought hard about it and figured out it could be because i think that no matter what happens someone will be there for me and support me wholeheartedly. there will still be that someone who wont turn his back on me. so i have decided to peel off that mask and be free. which might lead to my failure in this industry, but....i feel so much real.

kok,eddie and i chatted for near 4 hours switchin between prata, pool to mahjong but ended up gossiping our time away. in the end coffee-ed with eddie and it was down to meet the npcc buddies.

ate at swensens before chilling at tcc. the army boys told us tekong ghost stories and it scared me la. talked alot den it was back home. i felt some hints..but hell, i could probably be thinking too much.

Wednesday was a blast with the girls! i'm so glad sze min was there for the earlier part. we had a nice talk and couldnt stop laughing and doing silly things. bargaining with the durian uncle for just $3. all for the name of fun. Thurs was spent with baby watching Shrek3 then off to pasir panjang for roti prata with his friends. And i just came home from dinner with my daddy. Don't you just love holidays?

And....i got into Four Seasons Maldives! should be flying over early November..which means no birthday, baby's birthday, daddy's birthday, christmas, new year and maybe cny. I am excited..but i feel numbed. Mr Lee called and he commented how come i did not sound excited..lol..maybe it was because the F&B Director's email sort of informed me i'll be accepted. Or it's just that i'm dizzy with happiness. I'm kind of glad 2 months of the OSIP will be in Singapore..at least i wont have to be away for that long. I'm thankful for how wonderful life has been. I just hope it becomes better..

i'm so happy with my new loot!
anyway's there's a new restaurant at marina square called La Quinta and its under the chain of Spageddies restaurant. It was awfully quite when i went there on sunday..there was only 2 of us inside! I think the food's not the problem..its not bad la...i quite like the garlic prawn aglio olio. pricing is also reasonable..about 10 bucks for pasta. so i presume location and marketing is the only problem. do visit there next time when u're at marina and there's no queue there..food arrives damn fast.

had breakfast with family at 1 rochester. it was yummy and i love the lush greenery there. and their sun dried tomato one of the better ones i've tasted in singapore so far. and the kids loved running around there...there was a ROM ceremony going on too!

Baby Veron is out!! She's so cute..and barely 4 hours old..she's already being a tyrant. She can open her eyes already (!!!!!) and wails damn loudly. Another little brat in the house. She's so lovely i forgot about my issues presentation and journal =)

pondering over the way i'm leading my life now...
are all the decisions i made right, or will i regret it in future?
and school's not really my cup of tea now.
its just semester after semester of bitching, backstabbing
and endless killer projects.

i've learnt many life lessons in htm nonetheless.
mr lee was my saviour,i'm full of gratitude for him.
not for helping me to pull up my grade,
but for believing in me and doing his best to help me.
it feels really nice to have someone who barely knows
you beyond your full name to have so much trust in you.
he taught me a lesson that i'll bring to my grave.

i'm progressing into a new stage in life. where nothing else really matters besides my family, loved ones and close friends. my only concern now is uni education. for now, i've decided where to head to after poly already, whats left is to discuss with my parents and find out their financial status. i thought i still had alot of time..but not when i actually when to find out more about the courses. if all goes well, and i complete my diploma as planned, i'll be in uni next june. i cant believe time is running out so fast.

to the people who judged me without knowing me, really, time is precious. do not spend time fretting over things and people u barely know, mapping out your future is really so much more important. i din realise it until now, so dun commit the same mistake as me. truth from my heart, i've never disliked you nor spoken ill about you. don't make things difficult for my friend alright? we're all just living in this world, trying to make it a better place for the ones we truly care about. i'll go about leading my own life, and you yours. i wish that whatever your dreams are will come true and that your future will be a bright one. treasure the ones u care about before u lose them ok? she's a friend to keep for life.

st james was fun in a weird way. started off with me, bel and baby not even wanting to go, but we ended up enjoying ourselves even with the weird music playing. larger than life was blasting away at st james. can u believe it? that was like my primary sch favourite song and how long has it been? we had more than 25 free drinks combined and we din even used up all and me and bel got high. all thanks to tequila pop!

work at the harvey norman warehouse sale was crap. the workplace was practically a pasar malam, complete with red and white striped tentage and damn bloody hot. dun mention some of the people working there..now i know education is so important!

its been pretty long since i blogged.
after too much loud music and booze,
i fell pretty sick. down with viral fever.
once i recovered i had a 4 day work assignment
and i'm back again!

my days were well spent, minus the bloody virus
and a better week to come!
breakfast tmrw with jac and co.
dinner with qing, van and jean on tues
and my 'chalet' from wed to fri!
i love love love my holidays :)

i just gave up a trip to xiamen, dunno if it was a right decision.
well, it will help my parents save a sum of money
and freedom for 6 days.
and i've heard so much bout china's toilet. i guess that was a major factor

4 days of IT fair over

the bad:

stupid money crazy bitch/fellow salesperson
bloody uncle who say i dunno anything
10 mins lunch break
10 hours of standing
getting claustrophobic with hardly any standing or breathing space

the good:

pretty and nice supervisor
friendly colleagues except for the bitch
nice and chatty customers
job offers
getting to work with baby again
the pay

thank you those lovelies who dropped by to find me and those who bought from me! Teckwei and an ex-colleague from the airport. 4 days of hard work its taking its toil on me...having constant tummy aches...i still need jobs for the rest of my holiday!

i think at 19 i'm still not savvy enough but old enough to have the freedom to do the things i like. and not be restricted like i'm still in secondary school. hello, this only pulls us further not closer. and your other 3 darling daughters have been through my phase just not within what your eyes can see because they were more than a 1000 miles away in england and australia. so please give me my long awaited freedom and respect. if i fall i can only blame myself and thats the only way i can learn. i'm learning to grow up, don't stop me.
